Narrative:
En-route to sgr we were issued a re-route. The controller gave us a few fixes and a jet airway to a fix and then the rokit 1 RNAV STAR. We programmed the FMS for the rokit 1; and pulled the chart. Before flying the wrong route; we queried the controller about the routing after a certain fix; and the controller came back with some confusion about our query; and stated we must have an old chart; from there he gave us a different route. What we discovered is the rokit 1 to hou is different from the rokit 1 to iah. The rokit 1 route is also dependent on a landing direction in the FMS. We did not consider that the rokit 1 could be different depending on the airport served. Since this was an en-route change; we did not consider multiple rokit 1s. This is a confusing routing mistake I believe destined to happen to others.
