Narrative:

Myself and another mechanic were assigned to the horizontal stab on a B737-700 aircraft. We had a normal night at work. We had to open panels and lube elevator. Did all routine work and closed everything up. Later; I had a letter in my mailbox stating that I will have an investigation meeting regarding the aircraft. It was discovered during an overnight check that the right elevator; outboard ice seal was missing on aircraft. I'm not sure what happened to the ice seal. We haven't had the investigation meeting yet. But I am sure when aircraft left; the ice seal was securely installed on the elevator.
