Narrative:

On approach control, 134.5, at 11000' on the 095 degree right/30 DME sfo VOR the crew experienced a near miss with an small transport Y. Small transport Y took evasive action by making a right turn behind us. We were on a 240 degree heading at 11000'. Approach control cleared us to descend to 8000'. Immediately after starting a descent approach told us to level off at 11000'. By then we had descended to 10800'. Approach notified us of the traffic off to our left northbound at 10500'. The small transport Y passed behind us. Estimate proximity as 300' vertical and 2 mi horizontal. A near miss report was filed with the agency involved.

APCH NOTIFIED US OF THE TFC OFF TO OUR LEFT NBOUND AT 10500'. THE SMT Y PASSED BEHIND US. ESTIMATE PROX AS 300' VERT AND 2 MI HORIZ. A NEAR MISS RPT WAS FILED WITH THE AGENCY INVOLVED.
