Narrative:

I was the flying pilot and I called for the gear down. The captain lowered the gear and told me we have three red lights. At this point he took the airplane and asked me to get the QRH and look up the manual gear extension checklist. I found the checklist and with the captain's concurrence; started to read and follow the list. As I was doing the checklist the captain slowed the airplane so as to give us time to complete the list. I got the gear down and when I tried to lower the manual gear handle; we again got three red lights. So I pulled the handle back; we left it like that. The captain gave the airplane back to me and finished the before landing checklist.
