Narrative:
On takeoff roll; after moving the power levers full forward; I noticed one of the power levers was not at toga. I tried advancing the levers manually to toga position; but the associated power lever did not move. At this time we got the yellow EICAS message of engine tla not toga. I called the abort and aborted the takeoff immediately. The speed was between 60-65 KTS. After exiting the runway; I noticed that it was my cell phone that caused the power levers to not advance. I contacted dispatch and maintenance control; told them what happened and after consulting with them; continued with the flight without incident. All QRH procedures were performed.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: An ERJ170 Captain left his cell phone on the center pedestal near the thrust levers. During takeoff the EICAS alerted ENG TLA NOT TOGA. The takeoff was rejected; the cell phone was discovered; removed and the flight departed normally.
