Narrative:

While at cruise we received a chime from the purser who informed us that there was a fire in the 'right' oven accompanied by smoke and fumes. I asked the flight attendant if the oven was in the off position and was told that it was off. Per the QRH; we instructed the flight attendants to pull the breakers to the ovens. The flight attendant called back and informed us that he was unable to pull the breakers and that the fire still existed. In light of how serious an onboard fire is; I offered my assistance to the captain to leave the cockpit to fight the fire and pull the oven breakers. It was decided to do so. I then left the cockpit and pulled the circuit breakers the flight attendant used halon and extinguished the fire. I informed the captain that the fire was in fact extinguished; and then returned to the cockpit. We considered diverting; but per the QRH did not need to do so. We declared an emergency and established a phone patch with dispatch and maintenance technician to inform them of our situation.

Title: A B757's First Class galley oven caught fire in-flight. The First Officer left the cockpit to pull the circuit breakers and the Purser used a halon fire extinguisher to successfully extinguish the fire. The aircraft continued to its destination.
