Narrative:
I called fatigued for [a trip assignment]. Five days of reserve. My first 4 days were filled with [an assignment]. I had just finished this 4 day trip; with 24 actual hours of flying; which included early morning wake ups every day; and for some reason I was struggling to feel rested for the entire 4 days. I was physically and mentally exhausted after this flying; dealing with challenging weather and ATC delays every day. *On day 3; we exceeded 8/24*. At the end of this; the crew desk attempted to assign me [another trip] for the following day. I called fatigued for this trip. It was a one day turn; with 8:36 flight time; and an additional 10+ hour duty day. To make it legal; it was built with a deadhead on the last leg to keep me from exceeding and 8/24 and 30/7. To me; this was too onerous and I called in fatigued.
