Narrative:

As we descended on downwind we received an ECAM message hydraulic G system lo pressure. After determining it was not an ECAM exception or immediate action item I assigned flying and radio duties to the first officer. Following the ECAM procedure I shutoff the ptu and engine #1 hydraulic pump. Further following the ECAM procedure I later turned the engine #1 hydraulic pump back on. The system pressure returned to normal. We lowered the landing gear and flaps and made a normal landing. Approach control sent the emergency equipment out for our landing. Landing and taxi in was normal.
