Narrative:
Over salmn on rnp 26 approach; other aircraft flying visually down channel turned in front of us; nearly colliding with us. We were IMC; he was VMC. He did not have us in sight; when he turned in front of us. I filed a near mid air report with jnu tower. We came within 200 ft of each other vertically. We were directly on top of him when; as he turned in front of us; we went missed approach. The tower supervisor said the tower controller should of had the other aircraft slow down and turn behind us for a downwind entry to runway eight. I don't think there is adequate radar coverage over the channel.
