Narrative:
At cruise; a flight attendant reported a loud pop and then smelled electrical smoke. She appeared very nevous. A passenger in first class also smelled the acrid odor. We declared an emergency; ran the smoke QRH followed by the cabin smoke checklist. We contacted dispatch and coordinated a nearby airport as a divert airport. We diverted without further event.
