Narrative:

On climbout through 20;000 ft I noticed that the left oil temp was high (around 160 degrees indicated in yellow). The oil pressure was fluctuating between about 30PSI to 60PSI. We ran the QRH which had us descend to a lower altitude and reduce power. At 17;000 ft the temp was lower (but still high) and the pressure was still fluctuating. We contacted maintenance control via radio/ACARS. We opted to divert rather than return to departure airport because it was closer at this point in the flight. We monitored the oil pressure and temperature for the remainder of the flight and landed without incident.
