Narrative:

Sfo tower continues practice of simultaneous takeoffs on runway 01R and O1L. If any problem develops on either aircraft, a collision could occur. 'At gross weight-high vs (157 KTS),' it is very distracting to do formation takeoffs and flying (we do not receive formation training). The downwind runway aircraft should roll 1 minute before the upwind aircraft begins its takeoff roll. A philosophical question needs to be asked: which is more important--safety or traffic flow at an airport?
