Narrative:

Plane with history of sinks overflowing on landing was fixed prior to flight. I was assured a dump valve for the water system was deferred open and the waste water would drain properly. Got to the top of cruise when I was informed of almost two quarts of water were pooled on the first and business blue room floors. My concern was water leaking into the electrical equipment compartment and also the health hazard of the waste water. I elected to land overweight at a nearby airport and have it fixed. Smooth landing and uneventful.
