Narrative:

Immediately after takeoff we received a gear disagree warning message. The nose gear would not retract into the nose well. I complied with the QRH procedure for a gear disagree warning. I told my first officer to maintain a max speed of 200 KIAS per the QRH and to handle ATC communications. I contacted dispatcher and spoke with maintenance control. Maintenance control assured me the landing gear was down and locked if I had 3 green (which I did have). Maintenance control said they'd like me to bring the aircraft to ZZZ. Dispatcher concurred with the decision to continue to land at ZZZ. The QRH says to 'land at the nearest suitable airport'. Considering how close we were to ZZZ; and fuel onboard (I put the FMS fuel management into measured mode) I choose to continue to atl. I think we were half way there on the arrival when this decision was made. I determined that we'd land with 3000 lbs of fuel. The dispatcher asked if I was declaring an emergency. I said no. I felt no need to roll the fire trucks for what otherwise is a normal landing procedure. This fact irked me a little...it felt like the dispatcher was pressuring me to declare an emergency. I felt that flying with the gear down was more of an annoying; noisy; inconvenience and not an emergency situation. On a side note; three times we received gate change SELCAL's while in sterile cockpit (below 10000'). This was very distracting and needs to be stopped.
