During descent into ZZZ1 we had a baggage light illumination. Declared emergency diverted to nearest airport ZZZ2. Evacuated aircraft and determined no smoke or fire. Contacted dispatch and duty officer. Moved aircraft to ramp. Possible excessive moisture in nose compartment set off sensor.
