Narrative:

My aircraft is based at the manassas, va airport. The problem I wish to report concerns the availability of VOR checkpoints for the far requirement to check the accuracy of the navigation radios. The only checkpoints available for the manassas, leesburg, warrenton, culpepper airports are the ground checkpoint at iad and the vot at dca. Both of these are impractical to use. If the VOR check is to be accomplished the only other available checkpoints are at frederick, md or richmond, va. Neither of these are very practical. With the increasing activity at manassas, a local checkpoint would be most helpful.
