Narrative:

During routine overnight maintenance (ron); found nlg wheel assembly worn to limits. While trying to replace wheel assembly; had difficultly removing # 1 wheel assembly from axle (left wheel/tire). When wheel was finally removed; inner bearing and seal and spacer where still stuck on axle. After some cleaning and beating; was able to remove damaged bearing and had to cut seal to remove it. Post inspection reveled very little grease and water present. Noted lots of grease expelled out to wheel halves; seals appeared to be intact. Cleaned and inspected axle; found no damage. Note: new style spacer was installed to axle assembly. Installed new spacer and nlg wheel assembly as per maintenance manual. Nose tire assembly had 241:36 hours since installed.
