Narrative:

I was purser and answered phone at 1L. Pilots wanted break and tray pick up. I went to secure lav by cockpit. As I walked from 1L to lav my ankle caught in the curtain strap and caused me to fall forward. My head hit the metal rim of the rise to the cockpit door. This strap is dangerous. I was bleeding profusely and was assisted by flight attendant's and doctor. We diverted back to departure and paramedics took me to the er. I filed a incident report. I am concerned about the strap on the sound proof curtain being in a dangerous place.
