Narrative:

We had just pulled into the gate after a ferry flight. The first officer and I were the only crew on board. I had armed 1L and 1R on the ground; and had asked the first officer to disarm after we parked the aircraft. He got up from his seat and proceeded to the cabin to disarm the doors. Shortly thereafter; I heard the slide inflate; and realized we had inadvertently blown the emergency exit. I assume that he simply got confused and raised the wrong handle. I then went back and disarmed the other door. I think a factor here may have been that I armed the doors prior to departure; but asked the first officer to disarm them upon arrival. It would probably make more sense for the same person to both arm and disarm on ferry flights; since these are unfamiliar duties to us.
