Narrative:

Atl ATIS reported winds of 12008g15kt 1/2 SM -RA br BKN008 OVC12 13/12. We were given position and hold on 8R. Just before given takeoff clearance; tower reported winds of 310/17 and said they were about to turn the airport around and asked us if we were legal for takeoff. I pulled up the takeoff numbers with the new wind and it showed we would now need to go max thrust with a 11 knot tailwind and a 13 knot crosswind. As we were in 320; we have a 15 knot tailwind limitation so after discussion with the captain; I told tower we could accept takeoff clearance. We were then cleared for takeoff runway 8R; RNAV to hershel (on the cadit 5 departure). As we were on the takeoff roll; there was a lot of radio chatter plus the loud noise of rain hitting our windshields. At about 120 knot tower called and said; '(unclear); cancel takeoff clearance'. I immediately asked if the canceled takeoff was for us. By that time we were at V1 and tower said; 'disregard; fly runway heading for the go-around'. The captain continued the takeoff and there was no conflict. He said that he saw an aircraft to his left and didn't know if it was landing or taking off. Since that aircraft was on a different frequency than we were; we could not hear what was going on; but; our flight path to hershel would have turned us toward him. Therefore; by flying runway heading; we stayed out of his flight path. The captain decided because of our high speed and with the rain; tailwind; etc. Not to abort the takeoff. I believe he made an excellent decision. Nothing was said to us and we continued our flight incident.

Title: The takeoff clearance for a medium size air carrier aircraft was canceled but not heard by the flight crew. A landing aircraft for another runway was sent around by the tower; and the Captain reported an airborne conflict shortly after takeoff.
