Narrative:

Taxi to runway 35R via mike-golf-delta. Slight overshoot of delta. Stopped aircraft and executed a 150 degree right turn and joined delta. Continued taxi to runway 35R. Ground controller confirmed 'hold short of runway 35R.' remainder of flight uneventful. Lighting and markings of the golf delta/runway 35R intersection are inadequate. If we had not seen the aircraft on runway 35R; I probably would have crossed the hold short line and experienced an incursion.

Title: An air carrier crew on Taxiway D nearly missed transitioning to Taxiway G while taxiing to Runway 35R claiming the intersection is not clearly defined at night.
