Narrative:

My flight acknowledged a descent clearance to FL300. The pilot flying commenced descent from FL330; upon reaching FL318; the controller called instructing our flight to climb to FL330; which we complied with. The controller then stated descent clearance was previously given to company aircraft. Event happened because of 'classic' readback error; that wasn't responded to because of busy controller; and pilot flying and pilot monitoring not hearing confirmation of clearance.
