Narrative:

We landed on runway 22R and taxied off on juliet where the after landing check list was completed. Received clearance to taxi via alpha to gate from kennedy ground. At the intersection of kilo kilo taxiway with alpha that is when this incident occurred. I noticed the aircraft was veering to the right and felt the aircraft lift up and noticed that there was a B767 aircraft that was holding at kilo kilo for takeoff at runway 31L. He had been apparently given takeoff clearance at the time I was passing behind him when he applied what felt like break away thrust. As I passed through his thrust everything went back to normal. I had the first officer contact the flight attendant; everyone was ok. I then had him notify kennedy ground it took several attempts before he was acknowledged by kennedy ground. In the cockpit I will now be more observant of aircraft in this area. It is a hot spot for which I thought was more for possible confusing taxi than for the possibility of being in the way of takeoff thrust. Kennedy tower I think should have observed the possible conflict and delayed takeoff instructions till I was clear of the B767 thrust.
