Narrative:

While maneuvering on a local flight northwest of and outside of gyi class D airspace; I was in a 45-degree left banking turn when northbound bonanza traffic was spotted visually at less than one mile distance. I identified the intersecting paths and took immediate evasive action by diving and rapidly turning away from the crossing traffic. This resulted in passing slightly below and behind the bonanza. The bonanza took no apparent corrective action and did not seem to see me.
