Narrative:
Normal approach into 27R. It was the evening and we were landing to the west into the sun. At 50 ft I pulled the power back to idle. At 30 ft I began to flare when we saw hundreds of small birds appear right in front of us. I continued to flare; land; and rollout. We could hear several strikes on the airframe. Upon arrival at the gate; maintenance found at least 6 bird strikes and feathers in the number 2 engine. Aircraft was taken out of service.
