Under my TCA at 1400' encountered severe updrafts and momentarily entered TCA about 300' for about 30-45 seconds in severe turbulence.

Title: ASSUMED HAD ENTERED THE FLOOR OF THE TCA WHEN THE ACFT ENCOUNTERED TURBULENT CONDITIONS RESULTING IN ALT DEVIATION.
Narrative: UNDER MY TCA AT 1400' ENCOUNTERED SEVERE UPDRAFTS AND MOMENTARILY ENTERED TCA ABOUT 300' FOR ABOUT 30-45 SECS IN SEVERE TURB.
