Narrative:

Had been in cruise from aus to dfw for approximately 6-8 mins. Left engine fire warning came on. Reduced throttle to idle and fire warning ceased. Performed fire warning check and check was valid. Observed left engine oil temperature indication above red radial. Oil pressure and quantity were normal. Engine was shut down in accordance with engine shutdown procedures. Declared an emergency, had emergency equipment standing at dfw and an uneventful landing was made at dfw.

Title: ACR MLG FIRE WARNING. INFLT ENGINE SHUTDOWN. EMERGENCY DECLARED.

Narrative: HAD BEEN IN CRUISE FROM AUS TO DFW FOR APPROX 6-8 MINS. LEFT ENG FIRE WARNING CAME ON. REDUCED THROTTLE TO IDLE AND FIRE WARNING CEASED. PERFORMED FIRE WARNING CHK AND CHK WAS VALID.
