#2 engine; 9th stage unison runner block; lower engine; found broken off at the 2:00 position. The B757-200 left a 'C' check; 10 days earlier from contract maintenance facility. Replaced (runner) block ref MM 75-31-98.

Title: A Mechanic performing maintenance on #2 engine notices a broken section of a runner block that had separated from under the 9th stage unison ring. Aircraft had just been released form a heavy 'C' check; ten days earlier.
Narrative: #2 engine; 9th stage unison runner block; lower engine; found broken off at the 2:00 position. The B757-200 left a 'C' check; 10 days earlier from contract maintenance facility. Replaced (runner) block ref MM 75-31-98.
