Narrative:

Aircraft checks on my frequency at FL220 and requests FL240. I get approval from the high altitude sector to climb into his airspace and I point him out to ZAU high sector. I did not get control from the ZAU low altitude before I climbed the aircraft.

Title: ZMP Controller described failing to secure needed coordination prior to aircraft entering adjacent airspace.

Narrative: Aircraft checks on my frequency at FL220 and requests FL240. I get approval from the high altitude sector to climb into his airspace and I point him out to ZAU high sector. I did not get control from the ZAU low altitude before I climbed the aircraft.
