Narrative:

Reference mmel 21-1-3 that refer to a bleed air fail annunciator light of the light transport (with first officer artificial horizon air driven) and allows deferral with bleed switch in instrument and environmental off the values secured in closed position. Then thumbing through the MEL to 27-1 reference instrument air valves/sources and only VMC day allowed with one inoperative makes you illegal where you are (IMC) and yet they are not cross-referenced for air driven gyro installations. Recommend referencing VMC only, day only, etc to all MEL conditions where it is limiting.
