Narrative:

We had current charts that were in effect and approach control was still using the out of date charts that I no longer had. Flight to phx. We were inbound on the geela arrival with a blythe transition. We were cleared to descend via the geela arrival outside of hydrr. We were already at 13;000 ft. I checked my arrival chart; saw nimby at 7;000 ft was the lowest altitude. I set 7;000 ft in the FCU altitude window and started a managed descent. Between loosy and nimby we were given a frequency change; first officer checked in with our call sign; flight number and that we were descending out of 8;000 for 7;000 ft. The controller acknowledged our check on. After passing nimby at 7;000; controller gave us a descent to 4;000 ft then advised us we were to cross nimby at 6;000 ft. Approach control was using the geela two; we were flying the geela three. Nothing else was said; controller vectored us on in for the visual to runway 25L. Outbound from phx; we noticed other inbound aircraft from the east were having the same problems with the eagul arrival. When a new chart goes into effect; everybody use it; or don't issue revisions that aren't going to be used until a later date.
