Narrative:

I was the purser on flight from den to ZZZ. We landed in ZZZ and passengers were deplaning. I was standing at door 1L when I was approached by a male passenger who came up to me and asked to see the captain. I asked what was his reason to see the captain. He then showed me his fam badge and asked me if I knew he was on board. I looked at him and said 'no; no one informed us that we had an fam;' and my other colleague next to me was also caught off guard. I am writing this report because I was not informed that the fam was on board. I felt this might have been a safety issue.
