Narrative:

I was landing runway 24 at ZZZ. Wind was called out at what I remember as 280 degrees at 11 or 12 KTS. I executed a smooth and soft landing on the centerline at normal speed with moderate crosswind correction. Upon nosewheel touchdown; the plane immediately went left (approximately 20 degrees) and I didn't feel like I had control of the aircraft. I was then able to get the plane moving to the right but it went too far. Without being overly aggressive; I was able to get the aircraft back to left and once again crossed centerline and too far. I did not want to overcorrect. I made another effort to get the plane back to the right but this time the plane was overcorrected and we departed at what felt like 30 degrees from centerline to the right. The turn was so severe that fear of collapsing mains entered my mind. We quickly departed the right side and impacted snow. The nose gear collapsed and the mt propeller shattered. The runway has skid marks from all 3 tires at what appears to be near the initial TDZ. The marks mirror the oscillating pattern I described above. The runway was clear of snow and ice. It was damp and OAT was approximately 25 degrees F.

Title: Pilot of PA46 Malibu lost control on landing and exited runway collapsing nose gear and striking prop in a snow bank. An Airworthiness Directive has been issued for the PA46 steering.
