Narrative:

We were running behind due to a maintenance issue in ZZZ (aircraft change). We arrived in ord and got a go around furthering our delayed departure for ZZZ1. On our taxi out; ord ground advised us of a departure delay for ZZZ1 and we would be given our departure time (which was never given). We were switched to tower; who did not give us a time either for departure. So my first mistake was to ask tower what kind of delay we had. He said 'not much.' we were given a new taxi clearance around the other aircraft waiting to take off. My second mistake was to assume this was to get us out of the flow to the runway since we had a departure time. As we came around; I said 'let's finish the before takeoff checklist just in case he sends us right out.' as the first officer started the checklist; he told us to go in position and hold as the first officer responded ok. We were not done with the checklist at this point but I assumed we could finish it fast enough as we still had a ways to taxi. The flight attendant who had acknowledged us quickly in ZZZ took nearly a minute to notify us she was ready. As we got to the runway; tower cleared us for takeoff and I told the first officer we could not take the clearance. Tower was mad and said not to take the position but to taxi off the runway. Just then the flight attendant chimed she was ready for departure and I told the first officer we could now take a takeoff clearance. He fired back with; 'I wish you guys could make up your mind' and cleared us for takeoff. I allowed us to get rushed due to the tower being upset with us. We raced to finish up the checklist; departed runway 4L only to find I allowed us to take off with an EFIS comparator message that our heading indicators did not match. Mine was on runway heading but the first officer's was slightly off. This is a message we can disregard once we have started the takeoff roll; but in our haste; I did not notice the message on the left screen of our heading disagreement. I always brief the first officer's not to let me rush them; and here I let a nasty comment get me rushed. This could have all been avoided had I stated my question with the tower as 'what time is our departure?' and not 'do we have much of a delay?'

Title: CL65 FLIGHT CREW GETS RUSHED DEPARTING ORD AFTER BEING TOLD TO EXPECT DELAYS AND DEPARTS WITH ONE COMPASS CARD NOT ALIGNED.

Narrative: WE WERE RUNNING BEHIND DUE TO A MAINT ISSUE IN ZZZ (ACFT CHANGE). WE ARRIVED IN ORD AND GOT A GAR FURTHERING OUR DELAYED DEP FOR ZZZ1. ON OUR TAXI OUT; ORD GND ADVISED US OF A DEP DELAY FOR ZZZ1 AND WE WOULD BE GIVEN OUR DEP TIME (WHICH WAS NEVER GIVEN). WE WERE SWITCHED TO TWR; WHO DID NOT GIVE US A TIME EITHER FOR DEP. SO MY FIRST MISTAKE WAS TO ASK TWR WHAT KIND OF DELAY WE HAD. HE SAID 'NOT MUCH.' WE WERE GIVEN A NEW TAXI CLRNC AROUND THE OTHER ACFT WAITING TO TAKE OFF. MY SECOND MISTAKE WAS TO ASSUME THIS WAS TO GET US OUT OF THE FLOW TO THE RWY SINCE WE HAD A DEP TIME. AS WE CAME AROUND; I SAID 'LET'S FINISH THE BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST JUST IN CASE HE SENDS US RIGHT OUT.' AS THE FO STARTED THE CHKLIST; HE TOLD US TO GO IN POSITION AND HOLD AS THE FO RESPONDED OK. WE WERE NOT DONE WITH THE CHKLIST AT THIS POINT BUT I ASSUMED WE COULD FINISH IT FAST ENOUGH AS WE STILL HAD A WAYS TO TAXI. THE FLT ATTENDANT WHO HAD ACKNOWLEDGED US QUICKLY IN ZZZ TOOK NEARLY A MINUTE TO NOTIFY US SHE WAS READY. AS WE GOT TO THE RWY; TWR CLRED US FOR TKOF AND I TOLD THE FO WE COULD NOT TAKE THE CLRNC. TWR WAS MAD AND SAID NOT TO TAKE THE POSITION BUT TO TAXI OFF THE RWY. JUST THEN THE FLT ATTENDANT CHIMED SHE WAS READY FOR DEP AND I TOLD THE FO WE COULD NOW TAKE A TKOF CLRNC. HE FIRED BACK WITH; 'I WISH YOU GUYS COULD MAKE UP YOUR MIND' AND CLRED US FOR TKOF. I ALLOWED US TO GET RUSHED DUE TO THE TWR BEING UPSET WITH US. WE RACED TO FINISH UP THE CHKLIST; DEPARTED RWY 4L ONLY TO FIND I ALLOWED US TO TAKE OFF WITH AN EFIS COMPARATOR MESSAGE THAT OUR HDG INDICATORS DID NOT MATCH. MINE WAS ON RWY HDG BUT THE FO'S WAS SLIGHTLY OFF. THIS IS A MESSAGE WE CAN DISREGARD ONCE WE HAVE STARTED THE TKOF ROLL; BUT IN OUR HASTE; I DID NOT NOTICE THE MESSAGE ON THE L SCREEN OF OUR HDG DISAGREEMENT. I ALWAYS BRIEF THE FO'S NOT TO LET ME RUSH THEM; AND HERE I LET A NASTY COMMENT GET ME RUSHED. THIS COULD HAVE ALL BEEN AVOIDED HAD I STATED MY QUESTION WITH THE TWR AS 'WHAT TIME IS OUR DEP?' AND NOT 'DO WE HAVE MUCH OF A DELAY?'
