Narrative:

I failed to arm my door. I was assisting a passenger in the cabin when the arm PA was made. As I went to the door; demonstration began. Stopped to do demonstration with announcement. Quick taxi required lots of galley equipment hold down checks by me. I was economy galley flight attendant. I did not doublechk my door status. Night flight; busy flight; no time spent in jumpseat; dark in door area -- no notice of door selector mode. Unnoticed by me until order to disarm. Failure to arm completely my fault. No other flight attendant required to check or arm the door for me. First incident of any kind for me in 20 yrs of flying.
