Narrative:

At about 3000 ft on the loop 4 departure; socal cleared us to pevee intersection. I told him we were on the LOOP4 and that is not a fix on the departure. The controller replied very sarcastically that we should be on the OSHNN3 departure because they quit doing the LOOP4 2 hours ago. He gave us a heading of 160 degrees to fly until we got pevee in the box to go direct. We did this and went direct pevee. I was very angry at the controller because of his attitude. I picked up the pre departure clearance to make sure we did not make a mistake. We did not. I still have the printed pre departure clearance. Our clearance was the LOOP4 dag KEPEC2 las with no revisions. Since it was dark and I was looking at the OSHNN3 under a map light; it seemed that this departure took us south and not to dag. I got on the radio and said to socal that we have a pre departure clearance that says we are cleared LOOP4 dag KEPEC2 and the OSHNN3 goes the wrong direction. Now the controller was a little less rude and told us that we are cleared the OSHNN3 after pevee and the sli transition to dag and the KEPEC3. I then saw what he meant and read that back and we programmed the box to fly that departure. The reason for this report is to highlight how angry I was that the controller assumed we were wrong and that we could not possibly have been cleared the LOOP4. That was clearance delivery's fault; not ours. Second; at sfo it is normal to have the ground controller give us the quiet departure late at night during taxi out. This did not happen at lax and maybe it should have or maybe whoever typed our pre departure clearance just made a mistake.

Title: A320 FLT CREW REPORTS DEPARTING LAX ON THE LOOP4 DEPARTURE TO BE INFORMED BY ATC THEY SHOULD BE ON THE OSHNN3.

Narrative: AT ABOUT 3000 FT ON THE LOOP 4 DEP; SOCAL CLRED US TO PEVEE INTXN. I TOLD HIM WE WERE ON THE LOOP4 AND THAT IS NOT A FIX ON THE DEP. THE CTLR REPLIED VERY SARCASTICALLY THAT WE SHOULD BE ON THE OSHNN3 DEP BECAUSE THEY QUIT DOING THE LOOP4 2 HRS AGO. HE GAVE US A HDG OF 160 DEGS TO FLY UNTIL WE GOT PEVEE IN THE BOX TO GO DIRECT. WE DID THIS AND WENT DIRECT PEVEE. I WAS VERY ANGRY AT THE CTLR BECAUSE OF HIS ATTITUDE. I PICKED UP THE PDC TO MAKE SURE WE DID NOT MAKE A MISTAKE. WE DID NOT. I STILL HAVE THE PRINTED PDC. OUR CLRNC WAS THE LOOP4 DAG KEPEC2 LAS WITH NO REVISIONS. SINCE IT WAS DARK AND I WAS LOOKING AT THE OSHNN3 UNDER A MAP LIGHT; IT SEEMED THAT THIS DEP TOOK US S AND NOT TO DAG. I GOT ON THE RADIO AND SAID TO SOCAL THAT WE HAVE A PDC THAT SAYS WE ARE CLRED LOOP4 DAG KEPEC2 AND THE OSHNN3 GOES THE WRONG DIRECTION. NOW THE CTLR WAS A LITTLE LESS RUDE AND TOLD US THAT WE ARE CLRED THE OSHNN3 AFTER PEVEE AND THE SLI TRANSITION TO DAG AND THE KEPEC3. I THEN SAW WHAT HE MEANT AND READ THAT BACK AND WE PROGRAMMED THE BOX TO FLY THAT DEP. THE REASON FOR THIS RPT IS TO HIGHLIGHT HOW ANGRY I WAS THAT THE CTLR ASSUMED WE WERE WRONG AND THAT WE COULD NOT POSSIBLY HAVE BEEN CLRED THE LOOP4. THAT WAS CLRNC DELIVERY'S FAULT; NOT OURS. SECOND; AT SFO IT IS NORMAL TO HAVE THE GND CTLR GIVE US THE QUIET DEP LATE AT NIGHT DURING TAXI OUT. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN AT LAX AND MAYBE IT SHOULD HAVE OR MAYBE WHOEVER TYPED OUR PDC JUST MADE A MISTAKE.
