Narrative:

Followed maintenance manual procedure with putting on new egt harness and taking off old egt harness clamp by clamp. Was not there on the closing of engine; so not sure as to why; or how; incident happened. Egt harness was in same position as old harness when I left aircraft. Old egt harness was not found in contact with engine reversers.

Title: A MECHANIC DESCRIBES THE METHOD HE USED TO REPLACE AN AIRBUS A320 ENGINE EGT HARNESS.

Narrative: FOLLOWED MAINT MANUAL PROC WITH PUTTING ON NEW EGT HARNESS AND TAKING OFF OLD EGT HARNESS CLAMP BY CLAMP. WAS NOT THERE ON THE CLOSING OF ENG; SO NOT SURE AS TO WHY; OR HOW; INCIDENT HAPPENED. EGT HARNESS WAS IN SAME POS AS OLD HARNESS WHEN I LEFT ACFT.
