Narrative:

The clearance included the raleigh 7 departure to lawrenceville. The first officer entered lawrenceville in the FMS in error as 'lwv.' lwv was idented by the FMS as 'lawrenceville' when entered by the first officer and when checked by the PIC. However; the correct lawrenceville for this clearance is 'lvl' which the FMS also identifies as 'lawrenceville.' after takeoff; the flight was cleared direct to lawrenceville by the departure controller and proceeded direct to 'lwv' which was in the FMS. The controller caught the error and vectored the flight to 'lvl' before the crew had a chance to tune the vors; which would also have identified the problem.

Title: CE560 FLT CREW RECEIVES CLEARANCE CONTAINING LAWRENCEVILLE 'LVL' YET PROGRAMMED LAWRENCEVILLE 'LWV' IN THE FMS.

Narrative: THE CLRNC INCLUDED THE RALEIGH 7 DEP TO LAWRENCEVILLE. THE FO ENTERED LAWRENCEVILLE IN THE FMS IN ERROR AS 'LWV.' LWV WAS IDENTED BY THE FMS AS 'LAWRENCEVILLE' WHEN ENTERED BY THE FO AND WHEN CHKED BY THE PIC. HOWEVER; THE CORRECT LAWRENCEVILLE FOR THIS CLRNC IS 'LVL' WHICH THE FMS ALSO IDENTIFIES AS 'LAWRENCEVILLE.' AFTER TKOF; THE FLT WAS CLRED DIRECT TO LAWRENCEVILLE BY THE DEP CTLR AND PROCEEDED DIRECT TO 'LWV' WHICH WAS IN THE FMS. THE CTLR CAUGHT THE ERROR AND VECTORED THE FLT TO 'LVL' BEFORE THE CREW HAD A CHANCE TO TUNE THE VORS; WHICH WOULD ALSO HAVE IDENTIFIED THE PROB.
