Narrative:

Distraction while finishing no slat approach checklist. Started descent out of 9700 ft to 8800 ft on approach early. Supplemental information from acn 804675: we had been working through a slat checklist (no slats; flaps more than 20). I was distraction while finishing the checklist and descended out of 9700 ft prior to the proper descent point. We corrected and then descended according to the profile.
