Narrative:

I was flying. Descending through FL245 to 12000 ft at 300 KIAS assigned; we received right fadec message; along with right bleed message. Complied with QRH. While first officer was running the QRH; I declared an emergency with center. I told first officer to speak to our flight attendants; but not to the passenger. With him back on the radio; I xferred controls to my first officer and called flight control to advise them then took controls back. Level at 12000 ft; I noticed the right engine itt had spiked up to 932 degrees C. I called for single engine procedures check. First officer ran the checklist as we were vectored for ILS xxr. Still at 12000 ft; I called for descent and approach all the way. With that done; we were cleared for approach. Landed visually on runway xxr. First officer canceled the emergency and we taxied to gate. Maintenance met the plane. Supplemental information from acn 803157: at 12500 ft the captain noticed that the right engine itt was now at 932 degrees celsius and in the warning band. At this time we opted to secure the right engine using the single engine procedures in the QRH. New landing length was calculated and we continued for a runway xxr approach into runway. He then realized that there was no GS active for the runway and there was a layer of clouds below us. We quickly converted the approach to a localizer only and landed the aircraft successfully. Maintenance suspected a pressure sensor failure in the right engine control system.

Title: A CRJ700 FLT CREW EXPERIENCED LOSS OF THRUST AND ECAM R FADEC. THEY DECLARED AN EMERGENCY; AND WHEN EGT SPIKED TO 932 DEG THEY SECURED THE ENGINE AND CONTINUED TO A SAFE LANDING.

Narrative: I WAS FLYING. DSNDING THROUGH FL245 TO 12000 FT AT 300 KIAS ASSIGNED; WE RECEIVED R FADEC MESSAGE; ALONG WITH R BLEED MESSAGE. COMPLIED WITH QRH. WHILE FO WAS RUNNING THE QRH; I DECLARED AN EMER WITH CTR. I TOLD FO TO SPEAK TO OUR FLT ATTENDANTS; BUT NOT TO THE PAX. WITH HIM BACK ON THE RADIO; I XFERRED CTLS TO MY FO AND CALLED FLT CTL TO ADVISE THEM THEN TOOK CTLS BACK. LEVEL AT 12000 FT; I NOTICED THE R ENG ITT HAD SPIKED UP TO 932 DEGS C. I CALLED FOR SINGLE ENG PROCS CHK. FO RAN THE CHKLIST AS WE WERE VECTORED FOR ILS XXR. STILL AT 12000 FT; I CALLED FOR DSCNT AND APCH ALL THE WAY. WITH THAT DONE; WE WERE CLRED FOR APCH. LANDED VISUALLY ON RWY XXR. FO CANCELED THE EMER AND WE TAXIED TO GATE. MAINT MET THE PLANE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 803157: AT 12500 FT THE CAPT NOTICED THAT THE R ENG ITT WAS NOW AT 932 DEGS CELSIUS AND IN THE WARNING BAND. AT THIS TIME WE OPTED TO SECURE THE R ENG USING THE SINGLE ENG PROCS IN THE QRH. NEW LNDG LENGTH WAS CALCULATED AND WE CONTINUED FOR A RWY XXR APCH INTO RWY. HE THEN REALIZED THAT THERE WAS NO GS ACTIVE FOR THE RWY AND THERE WAS A LAYER OF CLOUDS BELOW US. WE QUICKLY CONVERTED THE APCH TO A LOC ONLY AND LANDED THE ACFT SUCCESSFULLY. MAINT SUSPECTED A PRESSURE SENSOR FAILURE IN THE R ENG CTL SYS.
