Narrative:

I was taxiing out for a local sightseeing tour. I; the pilot of the aircraft X; called out 'mid field taxi to runway 21.' I proceeded to do the aircraft checklist. After completion; I called up 'any traffic in the landing pattern for runway 21 or runway 3; please advise at sedona.' after 10-15 seconds; I called out 'aircraft X taking active runway 21 with a left crosswind departure to the sse; sedona.' after rolling out onto the runway; I started to power up for the takeoff roll and called out 'aircraft X on the roll 21 sedona.' just as the tail came up and vr was met; I observed out of nowhere the offending aircraft on short final for runway 3. At no time during any phase of taxi; run-up; or takeoff roll did I hear any radio calls for the arriving aircraft. As soon as I realized what was happening; I simultaneously pulled the power; steered to the side of the runway; ready to take the ditch if necessary and called out over the radio 'aircraft on final runway 3 at sedona; go around; go around; go around; aircraft on the runway!' the aircraft on final for runway 3 either saw me on the runway or heard my radio call and stopped the descent. The aircraft continued to overfly my aircraft with roughly 400 ft or less separation. As the offending aircraft overflew my aircraft; I was clearing the runway to taxi back to runway 21. The other aircraft went around and proceeded to land. A possible factor leading up to this event is that the aircraft inbound may have been doing a straight-in from nearby cottonwood; not following proper traffic pattern procedures; as well as not verifying the proper unicom frequency.

Title: PLT OF SMA REPORTS CONFLICT WITH LNDG TRAFFIC DURING TKOF ROLL AT NON-TOWERED ARPT.

Narrative: I WAS TAXIING OUT FOR A LCL SIGHTSEEING TOUR. I; THE PLT OF THE ACFT X; CALLED OUT 'MID FIELD TAXI TO RWY 21.' I PROCEEDED TO DO THE ACFT CHKLIST. AFTER COMPLETION; I CALLED UP 'ANY TFC IN THE LNDG PATTERN FOR RWY 21 OR RWY 3; PLEASE ADVISE AT SEDONA.' AFTER 10-15 SECONDS; I CALLED OUT 'ACFT X TAKING ACTIVE RWY 21 WITH A L XWIND DEP TO THE SSE; SEDONA.' AFTER ROLLING OUT ONTO THE RWY; I STARTED TO PWR UP FOR THE TKOF ROLL AND CALLED OUT 'ACFT X ON THE ROLL 21 SEDONA.' JUST AS THE TAIL CAME UP AND VR WAS MET; I OBSERVED OUT OF NOWHERE THE OFFENDING ACFT ON SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 3. AT NO TIME DURING ANY PHASE OF TAXI; RUN-UP; OR TKOF ROLL DID I HEAR ANY RADIO CALLS FOR THE ARRIVING ACFT. AS SOON AS I REALIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING; I SIMULTANEOUSLY PULLED THE PWR; STEERED TO THE SIDE OF THE RWY; READY TO TAKE THE DITCH IF NECESSARY AND CALLED OUT OVER THE RADIO 'ACFT ON FINAL RWY 3 AT SEDONA; GO AROUND; GO AROUND; GO AROUND; ACFT ON THE RWY!' THE ACFT ON FINAL FOR RWY 3 EITHER SAW ME ON THE RWY OR HEARD MY RADIO CALL AND STOPPED THE DSCNT. THE ACFT CONTINUED TO OVERFLY MY ACFT WITH ROUGHLY 400 FT OR LESS SEPARATION. AS THE OFFENDING ACFT OVERFLEW MY ACFT; I WAS CLRING THE RWY TO TAXI BACK TO RWY 21. THE OTHER ACFT WENT AROUND AND PROCEEDED TO LAND. A POSSIBLE FACTOR LEADING UP TO THIS EVENT IS THAT THE ACFT INBOUND MAY HAVE BEEN DOING A STRAIGHT-IN FROM NEARBY COTTONWOOD; NOT FOLLOWING PROPER TFC PATTERN PROCS; AS WELL AS NOT VERIFYING THE PROPER UNICOM FREQ.
