Narrative:
I discovered a missing hand tool after the aircraft left that I had in my possession during the shift. Have someone check the wheel well and flap well down the line; or at next overnight station.

Title: MECHANIC REALIZES ONE OF HIS HAND TOOLS WAS MISSING AFTER WORKING ON B737-500 THAT HAD DEPARTED. MECHANIC REQUESTED THE WHEEL WELL AND TRAILING EDGE FLAP WELL BE CHECKED AT DOWNLINE STATION.
Narrative: I DISCOVERED A MISSING HAND TOOL AFTER THE ACFT LEFT THAT I HAD IN MY POSSESSION DURING THE SHIFT. HAVE SOMEONE CHK THE WHEEL WELL AND FLAP WELL DOWN THE LINE; OR AT NEXT OVERNIGHT STATION.
