Narrative:

Lax runway 25L closed. Landed lax runway 25R. During rollout around taxiway K and taking the airplane from the first officer; I heard tower say 'take the next taxiway; contact ground.' there was a B767 taxiing east on taxiway B approaching taxiway K showing no sign of slowing down and would definitely be a factor as I cleared the runway. Could not get a word in edgewise to clarify with tower which taxiway. I knew there was an aircraft in position and an aircraft on final and I had to get off the runway. Decided to go to the 'next' taxiway (taxiway M) and exit there. Not what tower expected and had to send the aircraft on final around. A specific clearance such as 'air carrier; exit at taxiway K; B767 is giving way to you' would have immediately cleared up the confusion in my mind.
