Narrative:

After clearance from tower; I was preparing to depart northward. As I began to roll on my static takeoff; the aircraft began to shimmy and pull to the right (I was at approximately 30 KTS of airspeed). I controled the direction of the aircraft with the rudder and reduced the power to bring the plane to a stop. We were still on runway but then unable to depart the active runway. Tower radioed us and asked our intentions. My husband advised the controller that we thought we had blown our right main tire. They offered assistance and sent the operations crew to assess the situation. Once we deplaned; we noted that the bolt holding the right main gear vertical link (holding the wheel straight to the strut) was missing. The right main wheel was pointing towards the right instead of forward. The operations crew were able to find the original bolt at the end of the runway. We replaced the bolt after straightening the wheel and the FBO lineman towed the plane to the FBO for repair. Runway was shut down while we assessed the situation and moved the disabled plane (approximately 30 mins).

Title: PILOT OF A PIPER TURBO ARROW REPORTS THAT ON TKOF ROLL ACFT BEGAN TO SHIMMY AND PULL TO THE RIGHT. ACFT WAS STOPPED BUT UNABLE TO DEPART RUNWAY. RIGHT MAIN GEAR WHEEL WAS POINTING TOWARDS THE RIGHT INSTEAD OF FORWARD

Narrative: AFTER CLRNC FROM TWR; I WAS PREPARING TO DEPART NORTHWARD. AS I BEGAN TO ROLL ON MY STATIC TKOF; THE ACFT BEGAN TO SHIMMY AND PULL TO THE R (I WAS AT APPROX 30 KTS OF AIRSPD). I CTLED THE DIRECTION OF THE ACFT WITH THE RUDDER AND REDUCED THE PWR TO BRING THE PLANE TO A STOP. WE WERE STILL ON RWY BUT THEN UNABLE TO DEPART THE ACTIVE RWY. TWR RADIOED US AND ASKED OUR INTENTIONS. MY HUSBAND ADVISED THE CTLR THAT WE THOUGHT WE HAD BLOWN OUR R MAIN TIRE. THEY OFFERED ASSISTANCE AND SENT THE OPS CREW TO ASSESS THE SITUATION. RWY WAS SHUT DOWN WHILE WE ASSESSED THE SITUATION AND MOVED THE DISABLED PLANE (APPROX 30 MINS).
