Narrative:
Approaching ZZZ municipal to cross midfield at 1500 ft or above on a westerly heading to give way for air carrier Y on 5 mi final. In communication with air carrier Y and giving 2 different position reports of my own. At approximately 2 mi from crossing at altitude of 2200 ft MSL left crew member sees an airplane out of left window. At the same moment she called out I saw the plane. I continued my descent and somehow we did not hit. I turned and saw the plane continue on a northerly heading away from ZZZ. I told the air carrier Y captain of the incident and he said he saw him on TCAS with no communication with the plane; no communication was received by center and no radio calls on ZZZ advisory.
