Narrative:
ATC tower cleared mooney to land from 2 mi right base to runway 25R. I called tower to report a cessna passing immediately in front of my aircraft then turning base. Tower advised that he had tried to contact my aircraft 4 times to amend the clearance to land. Neither my passenger nor myself heard any such transmission. My radio worked perfectly both previous and subsequent to the event.

Title: M20 ISSUED BASE ENTRY BY LVK TWR EXPERIENCED CONFLICT WITH TFC ON SAME RTE; CTLR CLAIMED SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO AMEND CLRNC FAILED.
Narrative: ATC TWR CLRED MOONEY TO LAND FROM 2 MI R BASE TO RWY 25R. I CALLED TWR TO RPT A CESSNA PASSING IMMEDIATELY IN FRONT OF MY ACFT THEN TURNING BASE. TWR ADVISED THAT HE HAD TRIED TO CONTACT MY ACFT 4 TIMES TO AMEND THE CLRNC TO LAND. NEITHER MY PAX NOR MYSELF HEARD ANY SUCH XMISSION. MY RADIO WORKED PERFECTLY BOTH PREVIOUS AND SUBSEQUENT TO THE EVENT.
