Narrative:

I noticed during the preflight that the first officer had loaded the incorrect value in the FMC for minimum fuel load. Discovered he had read the number off the 'back side' of his release; which contained another flight release. Our releases were printed on 'recycled paper.' this has happened to me 3 times in the last month; and while I understand the importance of recycling paper; we must immediately inform ground operations not to use recycled paper in the printers at the gates or in operations when printing releases; WX packets; NOTAMS; MEL's; etc. Extremely confusing and unsafe! I don't think operations is aware that this practice is ongoing. Stop using recycled paper in operations!
