Narrative:
While cruising at 26000 ft the cabin lost pressurization. We performed checklist notified ATC; and flight attendant; and began an emergency descent to 10000 ft. Noticed cabin altitude was 8200 ft and climbing rapidly then the red cabin alert went off. Supplemental information from acn 794988: in level cruise at 26000 ft. Normal cruise confign. Pilots noticed cabin altitude started rapidly climbing and triggered 10000 ft alarm. Crew put on oxygen masks; declared emergency and descended to 10000 ft with ATC clearance. Completed required checklists; briefed company; passenger; and flight attendant. Landed successfully at ZZZ and taxied to gate.
