Narrative:
Pilot inadvertently activated gear switch while on ground; still on runway. Pilot's hand never left switch. Pilot immediately realized error and put switch down. Too late! Right gear started to cycle; right wing contacted runway; plane pivoted right and exited runway. Aircraft came to rest on extended left and front gear and right wing. How problem arose; gusty winds made pilot want to raise flaps to settle plane. Activated wrong switch (they're identical). Corrective action; in future exit runway; stop aircraft; and then clean up aircraft.

Title: A BE35 PILOT INADVERTENTLY RAISED THE LNDG GEAR WHILE MEANING TO RAISE THE FLAPS IN GUSTY CONDITIONS ON THE RWY.
Narrative: PLT INADVERTENTLY ACTIVATED GEAR SWITCH WHILE ON GND; STILL ON RWY. PLT'S HAND NEVER LEFT SWITCH. PLT IMMEDIATELY REALIZED ERROR AND PUT SWITCH DOWN. TOO LATE! R GEAR STARTED TO CYCLE; R WING CONTACTED RWY; PLANE PIVOTED R AND EXITED RWY. ACFT CAME TO REST ON EXTENDED L AND FRONT GEAR AND R WING. HOW PROB AROSE; GUSTY WINDS MADE PLT WANT TO RAISE FLAPS TO SETTLE PLANE. ACTIVATED WRONG SWITCH (THEY'RE IDENTICAL). CORRECTIVE ACTION; IN FUTURE EXIT RWY; STOP ACFT; AND THEN CLEAN UP ACFT.
