Narrative:

Departed teb on the teb 5 departure. We were given a heading to fly and climb to 6000 ft. We were then told to intercept the col 350 degree radial and then fly as cleared. While setting up the FMS the wrong radial was set and then enter pressed. The aircraft started turning the wrong direction. The autoplt was switched off and I started hand flying to get the radial. New york called at this time and stated we had missed the radial and gave a new heading to intercept. By this time I was already on that heading and reintercepting and the autoplt was reengaged. There was a slight increase in altitude but I did not see it exceed 150 ft before I caught it. No other aircraft were involved but obviously were in the area; no TCAS alerts occurred.

Title: A GII DEPARTING TEB CLBED THROUGH THEIR ASSIGNED ALT AND DEVIATED FROM THEIR ASSIGNED COURSE.

Narrative: DEPARTED TEB ON THE TEB 5 DEP. WE WERE GIVEN A HDG TO FLY AND CLB TO 6000 FT. WE WERE THEN TOLD TO INTERCEPT THE COL 350 DEG RADIAL AND THEN FLY AS CLEARED. WHILE SETTING UP THE FMS THE WRONG RADIAL WAS SET AND THEN ENTER PRESSED. THE ACFT STARTED TURNING THE WRONG DIRECTION. THE AUTOPLT WAS SWITCHED OFF AND I STARTED HAND FLYING TO GET THE RADIAL. NEW YORK CALLED AT THIS TIME AND STATED WE HAD MISSED THE RADIAL AND GAVE A NEW HDG TO INTERCEPT. BY THIS TIME I WAS ALREADY ON THAT HDG AND REINTERCEPTING AND THE AUTOPLT WAS REENGAGED. THERE WAS A SLIGHT INCREASE IN ALTITUDE BUT I DID NOT SEE IT EXCEED 150 FT BEFORE I CAUGHT IT. NO OTHER ACFT WERE INVOLVED BUT OBVIOUSLY WERE IN THE AREA; NO TCAS ALERTS OCCURRED.
